THE GENERAL DATA

At check of level of oil in an automatic transmission also check up an oil condition. For simplification of check of a condition of oil compare colour, a smell and viscosity of oil to new oil.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. If oil in a transmission dark or nearly so black with жженым a smell, means, frictional overlays of a transmission are worn out.

2. If oil in a transmission has dairy colour, means, water has got to it. It can occur at constant operation of the car on short trips. If colour of oil does not change after a long trip, it is necessary to replace oil.

3. If oil has dark brown colour and sticky, it can be because of an overheat of a transmission or too high level of oil in a box. If replacement of oil does not give result, it is necessary to present the car to specialised workshop Opel.
