Electronic blocking of differential (EDS) *

EDS works together with ABS. EDS operates in an automatic mode – i.e. without participation of the driver.

By means of sensor controls ABS supervises turns of driving wheels till the speed about 40 km/h (a forward drive) or 80 km/h (a full drive).

Usually ASR should be always included. Only in defined, unusual cases, if necessary проскальзывания, it should be disconnected, namely:

– At movement on deep snow or a friable ground

ESP works in a combination with ABS in all range of speeds. At failure ABS will not work and ESP.

ESP joins automatically at start of the engine and spends self-diagnostics.

If necessary, ESP it is possible to include and disconnect key pressing (ESP).

At disconnected ESP its control lamp burns. Address to subsection Control and measuring devices. Precautionary and diagnostic systems.

Usually ESP should be always included. Only in certain unusual cases, if necessary проскальзывания, it is necessary to disconnect it, namely:

– At movement on deep snow or a friable ground
– At attempt to leave in a swing after jamming.

After that again include ESP.

At disconnected ESP, remain in operating conditions ABS and EDS.

Action principle

Into the electronic program of stabilisation of course stability enter ABS, EDS and ASR. Along with received at work of these devices as the data, monitor ESP requires the additional parametres received by means of high-sensitivity sensor controls. At the tendency to drift of the back bridge of the car, influence of brake effort is carried out mainly on external in relation to the turn centre a forward wheel. At the tendency to drift of a forward part of the car, the nearest is braked to the turn centre a back wheel. Work ESP is accompanied by noise.

Full drive (quattro) *

The full drive of your car works in an automatic mode.
