THE GENERAL DATA

The block of cylinders and the details located in the block of cylinders of engine DOHC, basically are similar to engine ONS of 2,0 l. Difference consists that pistons are attached to rods by piston fingers of floating type and are fixed by lock rings.

Camshafts on engines DOHC are resulted from a cranked shaft by one gear belt. In each cylinder it is established on four valves (two inlet and two final) which are put in action from camshafts through hydraulic pushers. One camshaft puts in action inlet the valve, and another – final.

Models with engines DOHC have a separate oil radiator.

The ignition distributor is put in action from a camshaft operating final valves.

The gear belt also puts in action the water pump, but for adjustment of a tension of a gear belt the additional roller is used. Also there is one more directing roller of a gear belt.
