Check of serviceability of functioning of components and problem diagnostics темпостата

Primary checks

Make sure that target pressure of the onboard storage battery makes not less than 12 In, and electrolit density - not less than 1.260 units.

Cable of a drive throttle заслонки

Check up correctness of a lining drive a cable темпостата and reliability of its fixing on кулачковом the lever of a drive throttle заслонки, - lever moving should not render any influence on a gas cable.

Estimate free wheeling size drive a cable, - longitudinal люфт on a cam should not exceed 1 mm. In case of need make corresponding updating by rotation of an adjusting nut. Having finished adjustment track reliability of fixing in a reception flute of a protective cover.


The main switch темпостата

Include ignition, translate the switch in position ON (Вкл) and make sure of serviceability of operation of a display lamp of the switch. While translating the switch in position OFF (Выкл) the display lamp should go out.

Again include темпостат - the display lamp should light up. Switch off, then again include ignition, - at ignition inclusion the display lamp should remain in the extinguished position (темпостат it is switched off).

Trial runs

Having left on малозагруженную a direct highway, disperse the car till the speed of 40 km/h (25 miles/ch) and translate the main switch темпостата in position ON (Вкл). By means of the combined operating switch темпостата choose a mode «SET/COAST». Make sure of serviceability поддерживания system of the chosen cruiser high-speed mode.

Make sure that the car starts to move with acceleration at отжимании the combined operating switch to position RESUME/ACCEL and comes back to cruiser speed of movement at release the switch.

At switch keeping in position SET/COAST the car should start to make braking by the engine with return to the chosen cruiser speed at release the switch.

 At decrease in speed of movement of the car below 32 km/h (20 miles/ch) темпостат it should be disconnected automatically.


Make sure of serviceability of switching-off темпостата at squeezing of a pedal of a foot brake, coupling (РКПП) and transfer of the operating switch in position CANCEL.

Темпостат does not support a cruiser high-speed mode

Execute all listed primary checks. If elimination of the revealed malfunctions does not lead to problem elimination, pass to performance of electric checks of signals of input/conclusion, or make reading of diagnostic codes (see more low).

Actually supported value of cruiser speed differs from the chosen

Check up serviceability of functioning of an actuation mechanism (see more low). If it is not possible to reveal any infringements, replace the management module темпостата (see Has undressed Removal, check of a condition and installation of components of a control system by speed).

Check of signals of input/conclusion of the module of management темпостата

Check is made on contact socket ECU темпостата. Compare results of check to table 19 data. Make necessary regenerative repair/replace the failed component. Identification of schemes of a contact socket of the module of management is presented on an illustration.

 Pressure on plugs №№ 5, 7, 13 and 14 can be checked up only at trial runs with included темпостатом.

Reading of codes of malfunctions of a control system by speed

 Models of cars considered in the present Management are equipped by system of additional safety (SRS).


Before to start performance of any works near to the block of a pillow of safety, a steering column or the instrument panel, disconnect SRS in order to avoid reception of traumas at its casual operation (the Section System of additional safety (SRS) - the device and a functioning principle see). Electroconducting of chain SRS is easy for distinguishing on yellow colour of isolation.

 Make scanner SSM connection strictly according to instructions of manufacturers of the device!


 During check carrying out the help of the assistant is required.


Reading is made by means of firm scanner Subaru (SSM). Diagnostics is made in two modes: a mode of refusal and in a mode of real time.

For revealing of malfunctions in the first mode carrying out of trial runs is required. The module of self-diagnostics of system will keep codes of the refusals occurring during movement. In case of revealing more than two refusals, corresponding codes will be highlighted by the scanner consistently (as numbering).

 In a mode of refusals the management module will fix not only emergency, but also regular switching-off темпостата, made at the command of the driver.


 Transfer of the main switch in position «OFF», no less than ignition deenergizing will lead to clearing of memory of the processor from brought in it during check of codes DTC!


During check in a mode of real time check of serviceability of a condition of a subsystem of entrance signals is made. Check is made on the motionless car, simulating signals move on corresponding components темпостата, results are fixed by means of the scanner.

Refusal mode темпостата

Prepare the scanner, establish a cartridge.

Connect SSM to diagnostic socket DLC of the car at the left under the panel of devices. Start the engine and translate the main switch темпостата in position «ON» (Вкл).

Include food SSM.


In the main menu (Main Menu) choose a mode of the expanded range of checks (All System Diagnosis), - confirm a choice with key pressing «YES».

Disperse the car till the speed not less than 32 km/h (20 miles/ch) at the included mode of installation of cruiser speed темпостата (SET). At spontaneous switching-off темпостата on the scanner display the refusal code will be highlighted, - do not mix the given code with a code corresponding to compulsory switching-off темпостата by the driver (the list of codes of malfunctions in Specifications in the beginning of the Head see).

Further pass to checks and the corrections adhered to the highlighted code (see more low).

Mode of real time

Connect the scanner to diagnostic socket DLC. Include ignition and translate the main switch темпостата in position «ON» (Вкл).

In the main menu (Main Menu) choose a mode {Each System Check} and press a key «YES».

In the screen menu {System Selection Menu} choose point {Cruise Control}, - confirm a choice with key pressing «YES».

Further, be switched in a mode of a conclusion and preservation of the current data (Current Data Display and Save).

Make sure of correctness of the data highlighted by the scanner:

a) At squeezing of a pedal of a foot brake there should be a switching of positions of the gauge-switch of stoplights (ON/OFF);
b) switch SET/COAST Switching should result to switchings of modes of the switch (ON/OFF);
c) switch RESUME/ACCEL Switching should result to switchings of modes of the switch (ON/OFF);
d) Squeezing of a pedal of coupling should lead to switchings of positions of the gauge-switch of disconnection of a chain of a starter (ON/OFF);
e) the Conclusion of the lever of selector AT from position «Р» / »N» should lead to switchings of positions of the gauge-switch of the permission of start (ON/OFF).

Clearing of memory of the block of self-diagnostics

Memory clearing occurs at ignition deenergizing.

Check of serviceability of functioning of components темпостата

 Models of cars considered in the present Management are equipped by system of additional safety (SRS).

Switch off ignition and disconnect electroconducting from the management module темпостата. Include ignition and measure pressure between the plug № 12 (+) socket В94 of the module of management and weight of the chassis, - if the result of measurement makes more than 10 In, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise check up a safety lock condition № 18 in the assembly block, and also make sure of absence of breakages and short circuits on a chain site between the module of management and the assembly block. Make necessary corrections.

Switch off ignition and measure resistance between the plug № 6 sockets В94 and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes more than 10 Ohm, replace burn down electroconductings.

The main switch темпостата

 It is possible to judge serviceability of functioning of the main switch on operation of the management built in the module defined on hearing темпостата the main relay, - the relay should is distinct click while translating the switch in position «ON».


Switch off ignition and disconnect electroconducting from the main switch темпостата. Include ignition and measure pressure between the plug № 3 sockets i19 the main switch and weight of the chassis, - if the result of measurement makes more than 10 In, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise check up a safety lock condition № 18 in the assembly block, and also make sure of absence of breakages and short circuits on a chain site between the main switch and the assembly block. Make necessary corrections.

Switch off ignition, disconnect electroconducting from the module of management and measure resistance between plugs №№ 15 (+), 1 (+) and 11 (+) socket В94 and plugs №№ 5 (-), 6 (-) and 1 (-) (accordingly) a socket i19. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise replace electroconducting.

Remove the main switch and check up serviceability of its condition (see Has undressed Removal, check of a condition and installation of components of a control system by speed), in case of need make replacement. If the switch is perfectly in order, replace the management module темпостата.

The combined operating switch темпостата

 


Switch off ignition and disconnect electroconducting from the management module темпостата. Measure pressure between the plug № 10 (+) socket В94 and weight at released and translated in position «SET/COAST» the switch lever. In the released position of the switch pressure should be absent, in working position the result of measurement should make more than 10 In, - at infringement of the given conditions following two stages of check can be lowered. Measure pressure between the plug № 9 (+) socket В94 and weight of the chassis at released and translated in position «RESUME/ACCEL» the switch lever. In the released position of the switch pressure should be absent, in working position the result of measurement should make more than 10 In, - at infringement of the given conditions the following stage of check can be lowered.

Measure pressure between plugs №№ 9 (+) and 10 (+) socket В94 and weight of the chassis at released and translated in position «CANCEL» the switch lever. In the released position of the switch pressure should be absent, in working position the result of measurement should make more than 10 In, - at infringement of the given conditions pass to a following stage of check.

For check of serviceability of giving of a food press the horn button, - if the horn functions normally, pass to the check final stage, otherwise check up a safety lock condition № 6 in the main assembly block, the horn relay (Specifications see) and electroconductings on a chain site between operating switch темпостата and the assembly block of safety locks/relays.

Remove the operating switch and check up serviceability of its condition (see Has undressed Removal, check of a condition and installation of components of a control system by speed), in case of need replace switch assemblage. If the switch is perfectly in order, replace the management module.

Gauges-switches of stoplights and braking

Switch off ignition and disconnect electroconducting from assemblage of gauges-switches of stops-signals/braking. Include ignition, translate the main switch темпостата in position «ON» and measure pressure between the plug № 2 (+) socket В65 of the gauge-switch (see in the same place) and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes more than 10 In, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise check up a safety lock condition № 18 in the assembly block, and also make sure of absence of signs of breakage or short circuit on a chain site between assemblage of gauges-switches and the assembly block.

 


Measure pressure between the plug № 1 (+) socket В65 and weight of the chassis, - if the result of measurement makes more than 10 In, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise check up on presence of breakages and short circuits electroconducting on a chain site between assemblage of gauges-switches and TCM (models with АТ) / check up serviceability of a condition of a chain of the gauge-switch of coupling (model with РКПП).

Translate the main switch темпостата in position «OFF», disconnect electroconducting from the management module темпостата and measure resistance between plugs №№ 20 (+) and 16 (+) socket В94 and plugs №№ 3 (-) and 4 (-) (accordingly) socket В65. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise replace electroconducting.

Remove assemblage of the gauge-switch and check up its condition (see Has undressed Removal, check of a condition and installation of components of a control system by speed). In case of need make replacement.

The gauge-switch of coupling/disconnection of a chain of a starter (model with РКПП)

 The description of procedures of removal-installation and check of a condition of the gauge-switch is resulted in the Head Coupling.


Switch off ignition and disconnect electroconducting from the coupling gauge-switch. Include ignition, translate the main switch темпостата in position «ON» and measure pressure between the plug № 2 sockets В107 (see in the same place) and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes more than 10 In, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise check up on presence of breakages and short circuits electroconducting on a chain site between the gauge-switch and the management module темпостата.

Switch off темпостат and ignition. Disconnect electroconducting from assemblage of gauges-switches of stops-signals/braking and measure resistance between the plug № 1 (+) socket В107 and the plug № 1 (-) socket В65. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise repair electroconducting.

Remove the gauge-switch and check up its condition (see Has undressed Removal, check of a condition and installation of components of a control system by speed). In case of need make replacement.

The gauge-switch of the permission of start (model with АТ)

Switch off ignition and disconnect electroconducting from the gauge-switch of the permission of start. Include ignition, translate the main switch темпостата in position «ON» and measure pressure between the plug № 12 (+) socket Т7 (see in the same place) and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes more than 10 In, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise check up on presence of breakages and short circuits electroconducting on a chain site between the gauge-switch and the management module темпостата.

 


Switch off темпостат and ignition. Disconnect electroconducting from a starter and measure resistance between the plug № 7 (+) socket Т7 and the plug № 1 (-) socket В14. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise repair electroconducting.

Remove the gauge-switch and check up its condition (see Has undressed Removal, check of a condition and installation of components of a control system by speed). In case of need make replacement.

Problem diagnostics темпостата

Diagnostic codes 21, 24, 25 and 2А (built in the module of management of the relay and the RAM of the central processor)

To number of the symptoms characterising listed in heading infringement, spontaneous switching-off темпостата and refusal of preservation of value of an entered high-speed mode concern.

Causes of infringement bad quality of welded connection of the management of the relay built in the module, and also refusals of operative memory (RAM) of the central processor (CPU) can be, - preliminary check up signals of input/conclusion VSS by means of SSM (see above).

Before to replace the management module make sure of serviceability of giving on it of a food and estimate quality of grounding of assemblage.

Include ignition and translate the main switch темпостата in position ON (Вкл). Cock a lay brake. Translate the scanner in mode CURRENT DATA DISPLAY and SAVE. 53 Squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake, - the scanner should fix switchings ON/OFF of the gauge-switch of stoplights. If switchings are not fixed, pass to a following stage of check.

Release a pedal of a foot brake and disconnect from the gauge-switch of stoplights electroconducting. Measure resistance between plugs №№ 1 and 4 contact sockets of the gauge. If the result of measurement makes less than 1 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise replace the gauge-switch.

Repeat the check described above at the squeezed out pedal of a foot brake. If the result of measurement makes more than 1 МОм, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise replace the gauge-switch.

Release a pedal of a foot brake and measure resistance between plugs №№ 2 and 3 contact sockets of the gauge. If the result of measurement makes more than 1 МОм, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise replace the gauge-switch.

Repeat the check described above at the squeezed out pedal of a foot brake. If the result of measurement makes less than 1 Ohm, replace ECU темпостата, otherwise replace the gauge-switch of stoplights.

Diagnostic code 22 (VSS)

Models with РКПП

Include ignition and disconnect electroconducting from VSS. Include ignition and measure pressure between the plug № 3 (+) socket В17 (see in the same place) and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes more than 10 In, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise check up on presence of signs of breakage and short circuit electroconducting on a chain site between the relay of ignition and VSS.

 


Include ignition, disconnect electroconducting from the management module темпостата and measure resistance between the plug № 1 socket В17 and the plug № 19 sockets В94, - if the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise repair electroconducting.

Measure resistance between the plug № 2 (+) socket В17 and weight of the power unit, - if the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise repair electroconducting.

Connect electroconducting to VSS. Поддомкратьте the car also establish it on props. Start the engine and untwist wheels till the speed of 20 km/h (12 miles/ch). Measure pressure between the plug № 19 (+) socket В94 and weight of the chassis, - if the result of measurement falls outside the limits a range 1 ÷ 4 In, replace the management module темпостата, otherwise replace VSS.

Models with АТ

Switch off ignition, disconnect electroconducting from TCM and the management module темпостата. Measure resistance between the plug № 19 sockets В94 and the plug № 17 sockets В56 (see in the same place), for ohmmeter connection use конусный probe in diameter less than 0.64 mm. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise repair electroconducting.

Connect electroconducting to TCM. Поддомкратьте the car also establish it on props. Start the engine and untwist wheels till the speed of 10 km/h (8 miles/ch). Measure pressure between the plug № 17 (+) socket В56 and weight of the chassis, - if the result of measurement falls outside the limits a range 1 ÷ 4 In, replace the management module темпостата, otherwise replace TCM.

Diagnostic code 28 (electroconducting breakage)

Measure density of electrolit of the storage battery, - ate result of measurement makes more than 1.250 units, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise, make additional charge.

Check up a condition of the main thing and other safety locks of a chain темпостата, also estimate a condition of connecting electroconducting and its contact sockets. Make sure of quality of grounding of components. In case of need make the corresponding regenerative repair, the failed elements replace.

Diagnostic codes 35 and 36 (the actuation mechanism servomotor)

Switch off ignition and disconnect electroconducting from an actuation mechanism. Include ignition, translate the main switch темпостата in position «ON» and measure pressure between the plug № 4 (+) socket В7 (see in the same place) and weight of the chassis, - if the result of measurement makes more than 10 In, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise check up on presence of signs of breakage or short circuit electroconducting on a chain site between the module of management and an actuation mechanism.

 


Switch off темпостат and ignition and measure resistance between the plug № 6 (+) socket В7 and weight of the chassis. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise repair electroconducting.

Measure resistance between the plug № 4 and plugs №№ 1, 2 and 5 contact sockets of an actuation mechanism, - if the result of measurement makes approximately 5 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise replace actuation mechanism assemblage.

Disconnect electroconducting from the management module темпостата and measure resistance between the plug № 1 socket В7 and the plug № 7 sockets В94. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohm, pass to the check final stage, otherwise repair electroconducting.

Measure resistance between the plug № 5 sockets В7 and the plug № 5 sockets В94. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohm, replace the management module темпостата, otherwise repair electroconducting.

Diagnostic code 37 (муфта servomotor couplings)

Measure resistance between plugs №№ 3 and 6 sockets of an actuation mechanism. If the result of measurement makes approximately 39 Ohm, pass to a following stage of check, otherwise replace actuation mechanism assemblage.

Disconnect electroconducting from the management module темпостата and measure resistance between the plug № 2 sockets В7 and the plug № 13 sockets В94. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohm, pass to the check final stage, otherwise repair electroconducting.

Measure resistance between the plug № 3 sockets В7 and the plug № 14 sockets В94. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohm, replace the management module темпостата, otherwise repair electroconducting.

Diagnostic code 38 (refusal of activation of a leading shaft of the servomotor)

Switch off ignition, disconnect electroconducting from an actuation mechanism темпостата and remove assemblage of the last from a basic arm (see Has undressed Removal, check of a condition and installation of components of a control system by speed). Manually estimate люфт landings in assemblage of a cable of a drive throttle заслонки, to the touch make sure of serviceability of gearing редукторной actuation mechanism assemblages. In case of need replace an actuation mechanism. If assemblage is perfectly in order, check up correctness of adjustment drive a cable.

Diagnostic code 39 (a servomotor overload)
