Condition check, adjustment and replacement of brushes of screen wipers
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On brushes of screen wipers the road film in due course collects, reducing efficiency of their work, therefore brushes should be washed out regularly in a soft cleaning solution.

2. Assemblages of screen wipers with brushes should look round regularly. If survey has revealed presence of hardenings or cracks on rubber of brushes, replace brushes. If at survey it is not revealed anything unusual, wet a windscreen, include screen wipers, allow to them to work a little, and switch off them. A non-uniform trace from brushes on glass or strips on pure glass specify that it is necessary to replace brushes.
3. If brushes insufficiently well clear a windscreen following reasons of it are possible.

Windscreen:

Check up distance between a brush and the bottom edge of a windscreen at the switched off screen wiper. The distance should make on the party of the driver and = 15 – 25 mm, on the party of the forward passenger b = 17 – 27 mm. On these places there are marks–1.

Back glass:

At the switched off screen wiper the brush should lie horizontally at the top edge of a plane of a stop of a cleaner.

6. Switch on and off screen wipers, thus screen wiper levers will be established in a starting position. Remove screen wiper brushes.
7. The lever of a screen wiper 1 insert into tool HAZET 4851–1 or AUDI 3358 and fix a bolt.

9. Remove tool AUDI 3358, establish and fix screen wiper brushes.
10. Establish a brush and check up screen wiper work.
