The general information on adjustment

THE GENERAL DATA

The term "adjustment" is used in the given Management more likely for a designation of a complex of procedures, than one separate procedure.

If from the moment of purchase of the car the routine maintenance schedule is strictly observed, frequent checks of level of liquids and a condition of components subject to raised deterioration as it is offered in the given Management will be spent, the engine will long remain in a good working condition, and necessity for carrying out of any additional work will be reduced to a minimum.

To thicket, however, happens so that the engine works inefficiently owing to neglect as regular service. Is even more often it happens at purchase of the second-hand car which owners did not trouble themselves with frequent both regular checks and service. In this case, besides performance of usual procedures on routine maintenance, it will be necessary to make engine adjustment.

The first step in any procedure of adjustment or diagnostics for the purpose of improvement of work of the engine is check of degree of compression in cylinders. Compression check (address to subsection compression Check in engine cylinders) will help to define a condition of internal components of the engine and should serve as the index at adjustment and repair carrying out. If, for example, check of degree of compression specifies in serious internal deterioration of the engine, usual adjustment will not help to improve its work and will be waste of time and money. As procedure of check of degree of compression is the extremely important, the expert owning equipment specially intended for it should spend her.

For engine reduction in a good working condition performance of following procedures more often is required.

The minimum options


Check of all liquids connected with work of the engine (subsection Check of a condition of tyres and pressure in them)
Check of a condition of all hoses of an impellent compartment (subsection Check of a condition and replacement of hoses of an impellent compartment, localisation of leaks)
Check and tension adjustment drivers belts (subsection condition Check drivers ridge belts)
Clearing, survey and check of a charge of the battery (subsection Check of a condition of the battery, care it and gymnastics)
Replacement of spark plugs or накаливания (subsection Check and replacement of spark plugs)
Survey ВВ of wires of candles, except models with direct ignition
Check of the air filter (subsection Replacement of a filtering element of the air filter)
Check of system of cooling (subsection Check of functioning of system of cooling)

Oil level should remain between two labels, it is desirable at level or is close from top them them – if it not so, add oils to the top label. The quantity of oil between marks MIN and the MOVE makes 1 l. Two variants of execution of the index of level of oil are shown

The broad tank (the cooler tank) is located in a lateral part of an impellent compartment. Liquid level on the cold engine should be between labels MIN and MAX. On the hot engine probably some excess of level of mark MAX. If necessary uncover and add a cooler
