In view of the gradual expense and-or pollution of liquids in the course of normal operation of the car, it is necessary to replace them periodically. Familiarise with Section “Types and volumes of applied greasings and liquids” in Specifications before to start to доливанию liquids in any of the listed components. |

2. At the greasy engine and the big expense of oil check up places of leaks. Following places are for this purpose checked:
· Open a cover of a jellied mouth and check up consolidation on presence of cracks or damages.

· Consolidation of a cover of a head of cylinders.
· Consolidation of a head of cylinders.
· the Stopper of removal of oil (a round ring).

| 8. Check of level of impellent oil is made by means of measuring probeа, the engine located on one side (address to the illustrations of the impellent compartment resulted in the given Chapter, for definition of its site). | 9. Measurement of level of impellent oil is made before start of the engine or not less than through 15 mines after its deenergizing. |

| 10. Take probe and dry wipe its edge pure rags or a paper towel. Enter probe up to the end back and again take it. The height of the site of an edge moistened with oil will correspond to oil level in the engine. This level should be between two labels on probeе. |
| 11. For lifting of level of oil from the minimum label on probeе to maximum one litre of oil is required. Do not suppose falling of level below the minimum label since oil starvation can lead to engine damage. On the other hand, overflow of the engine by oil (доливание above the maximum mark) can be at the bottom замасливания of spark plugs, leaks of oil or failure of epiploons. |
| 12. To add oils, unscrew a cover of the mouth located on a cover of a head of cylinders. After доливания some oil wait some minutes that oil level was stabilised, then pull out probe and again check up level. If it is required, add still oils. Close a cover of a mouth and tighten her hand. |

The white plastic broad tank (or the cooler tank) is located in an impellent compartment and connected by a hose to a radiator. In process of a warming up of the engine in the course of its work the extending cooler fills a tank. At cooling of the engine the cooler automatically arrives back in cooling system that provides maintenance of constant value of its level. |
15. Check of level of a cooler in the tank should be made regularly. Add 40 %/60 %-s' mix of antifreeze on a basis этиленгликоля with water. It is necessary to use structure G12.
Pay attention: Antifreeze AUDI and protection frames from corrosion “G 11”, applied in former models of cars AUDI to apply it is not supposed. G 11 has green colour. G 12 red colours. It is not necessary to mix G11 and G 12 as it can lead to heavy damages of the engine. (G 11 and G 12) it is necessary to replace a brown mix immediately. |
ATTENTION
Do not uncover a jellied mouth of a broad tank or a cover of a radiator for check of level of a cooler before full cooling of the engine! Level in the tank fluctuates depending on engine temperature. When engines cold, cooler level should be above a label “MIN” on the tank. In process of heating of the engine level should come nearer to a label “MAX”. If it not so, allow to the engine to cool down and then uncover the tank.

| 16. Banish the car and again measure cooler level. If to the necessary level it is required to add only a cooler small amount for this purpose it is possible to use pure water. However frequent additions of water will dilute antifreeze. To provide a normal parity of antifreeze and water, always add to the necessary level a demanded mix. |
| 17. If cooler level falls regularly in system leak presence is possible. Examine a radiator, hoses, a cover of a jellied mouth, drain stoppers and the water pump. If any leaks it is not revealed, make check of tightness of a cover of a broad tank and a radiator in conditions HUNDRED AUDI. |
| 18. If you need to uncover, wait, while the engine completely will cool down, then wrap up a piece of thick rags round a cover and turn away it to the first emphasis. If thus from under a cover steam or a cooler starts to be pulled out, allow to the engine to cool down a little more, and only then uncover. |
| 19. It is necessary to check a cooler condition also. It should be rather pure. If the liquid has brown or rusty colour, it it is necessary to merge, wash out system and to fill with its new mix. Even if the cooler looks normally, entering into its structure ингибиторы corrosion in due course lose the efficiency, therefore it is necessary to replace it through certain time intervals. |
| 20. For check of frost resistance of a cooling liquid it is necessary to use ареометр. |
| Brake liquid and coupling liquid |
ATTENTION The brake liquid can harm your eyes and damage the painted surfaces of the car, therefore be extremely cautious at the reference with it. Do not use a brake liquid which long time stood opened, or which more than one year. The brake liquid has property to absorb a moisture from air that can lead to dangerous loss of efficiency of brake system. Use only the recommended type of a brake liquid. Mixing of various types of a liquid can lead to refusal of brake system.

| 22. To check up level of a liquid of coupling, look at the translucent tank. Level should be near a ledge on the tank. If it more low, uncover and add the recommended liquid. |

| 24. While the tank cover is removed, check up a liquid and the tank of the main cylinder on presence of pollution. If at it there are particles of a rust, a dirt or a water drop, a liquid from system it is necessary to merge and fill in the new. |
| 25. After addition of the tank to the necessary level make sure that the cover is established exactly, in order to avoid leaks of a liquid and-or dirt hit. |
| 26. Liquid level in the main cylinder will fall slightly as a result of wear process of frictional overlays brake колодок. There is no necessity to add it until level remains near a label “MIN”; it will rise after replacement of overlays. Very low level can specify in deterioration brake колодок. Check up them on deterioration presence. |
| 27. If level of a brake liquid constantly falls, immediately check up all system on presence of leaks. Survey brake lines, hoses and штуцерные connections, together with supports, wheel cylinders and the main cylinder. |

| 30. In areas with a temperate climate it is possible to fill system with usual water, but it is recommended to add in water means for washing of glasses with solvent of wax preservatives. The tank should be filled no more, than on two third that there was a free space on a case of expansion of water at freezing. In areas with cold environmental conditions it is necessary to use special antifreeze for system of washing of the windscreen, reducing a freezing point of a liquid which can be got in any shop of automobile accessories. Usually it is on sale in the concentrated or ready kind. If you have got the concentrated antifreeze, mix it with water according to the instruction of the manufacturer on packing. |
ATTENTION
Do not use antifreeze of system of cooling - it will damage the painted surfaces of the car.
