Replacement of impellent oil and the oil filter

THE GENERAL DATA

ATTENTION

Long contact of a skin to the fulfilled impellent oil is dangerous enough. Use a protective cream and put on gloves during carrying out of this procedure. The clothes which have become impregnated with oil replace immediately.

Frequent replacement of impellent oil is the main preventive procedure of service accessible to the mechanic-fan. Eventually oil is subject разжижению and to pollution that conducts to premature deterioration of the engine.

Impellent oil can be extorted by means of a special probe (is available on filling stations) through a tube probeа measurements of level of oil. After that it is necessary to fill system with oil, as a rule.

Do not pour out the fulfilled oil together with a household waste or otherwise. It can cause environmental contamination.

Expediently at oil replacement to fix on the engine a label with mark of oil and its viscosity.

Application of oils of various types adversely affects engine work. It is not recommended to mix various marks of oils also. Impellent oils of the same type and mark, but various viscosity in necessary cases, in particular in inter-season period, can mix up.

6.9 Turn away the oil filter a tape key or HAZET 2171-1.

The petrol engine

The necessary tool:

· the Viewing ditch or the hydrolift with supports (if oil is not sucked away).
· the Head for отворачивания a drain stopper.
· the Special tool for отворачивания the filter (a key for the filter. A tape key or tool HAZET 2171-1).
· Capacity for oil gathering (if oil is not sucked away) by capacity not less than 5 l.

Necessary spare parts and account materials:

· Only if oil is not sucked away: an aluminium or copper sealing ring for a drain stopper (are sometimes delivered together with the oil filter).
· the Oil filter. The cartridge of the oil filter and two sealing rings of a cover of the filter are necessary for the diesel engine.
· About 4.5 l of impellent oil. Apply the oil resolved by firm AUDI, address to Specifications.

Removal of impellent oil

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The diesel engine: turn away bolts of fastening and uncover cases of the oil filter. After that oil will flow out from the filter case in the oil pallet.
2. Remove impellent oil by means of the device for отсасывания through a mouth for the index of level of oil.
3. If the device for oil pumping out available is not present, merge oil. For this purpose establish the car on a horizontal platform.
The remark on security measures At lifting and car installation on supports there is a danger! Therefore preliminary familiarise with subsection of Poddomkrachivanie of the car.
4. Remove the bottom cover of an impellent compartment, address to subsection Removal and installation of the bottom cover of an impellent compartment.
5. Substitute under the pallet картера capacity for gathering of the fulfilled oil.
6. Turn out from the pallet картера a drain stopper and completely merge oil.
ATTENTION If in the fulfilled oil there is at a considerable quantity a metal shaving and deterioration products, it specifies in presence задиров, for example, in bearings of a cranked shaft and шатунных bearings. For an exception of damages after the spent repair it is necessary to clear oil channels and hoses carefully. It is in addition necessary, if is available, to replace an oil radiator.
7. Then it is necessary to screw a drain stopper with a new sealing ring. It is not necessary to exceed the moments of an inhaling specified in Specifications, otherwise it can lead to infringement of tightness and damages.
8. Lower the car on wheels.

9. Turn away the oil filter. For this purpose there is a special tool, for example, tape key HAZET 2171-1. Collect following oil a rag.
10. Clear fuel a flange of the oil filter at the block of cylinders. If necessary remove the remained consolidation of the filter.
11. Cover a rubber sealing ring on the new oil filter with a thin layer of pure impellent oil.
12. Wrap manually the new oil filter. If filter consolidation adjoins to the block of cylinders, tighten the filter on 1/2 turns. Observe the instructions resulted on the filter.
The diesel engine
13. Turn away a cover-1 on the filter case, for example, a tape key or key VW-3417.
14. Replace filtering element-4, and also sealing rings-2 and-3 on a filter cover.
15. Screw a cover of the filter and tighten its moment 25 Н m.
Refuelling of impellent oil
16. ATTENTION At the first start of a turbodiesel after oil replacement it is necessary to watch that the engine at first has worked on single turns, the control lamp of pressure of oil will not go out yet. Only after achievement of necessary pressure of oil it is possible to increase gas. If gas is given at a burning control lamp, owing to insufficient quantity of oil can be damaged турбокомпрессор.
17. Open a cover and pour in new oil in a jellied mouth of a head of cylinders.
ATTENTION It is recommended to fill in at first oil on 0.5 l less. Warm up the engine and in some minutes, by means of the index, check up oil level, if necessary add. Surplus of oil remove, consolidations of the engine and каталитический the converter otherwise can be damaged.
18. Oil level normal if it lies in a range (b). If oil lies in a range (), oil is necessary for adding before marks () (address to an accompanying illustration).
19. After a trial trip check up tightness of a drain stopper and the oil filter, if necessary cautiously add oil.
20. After 3 minutes after an engine stop again check up oil level, if necessary add or remove oil.
21. Establish the bottom cover of an impellent compartment, address to subsection Removal and installation of the bottom cover of an impellent compartment.
