Replacement of a brake liquid

THE GENERAL DATA

The demanded special tool:

Nakidnoj a key for отворачивания the union of removal of air.
– A transparent plastic hose in internal diameter of 6 mm and capacity for gathering of a brake liquid.


ATTENTION

The brake liquid which was in the use repeatedly do not apply.

Observe safety measures at work with a brake liquid, thus address to subsection the Brake liquid.


The brake liquid through a time of brake hoses and a ventilating aperture of the tank absorbs a moisture. Thereof the temperature of boiling of a liquid while in service decreases. At the big loading on brakes it can lead even to steam formation that reduces efficiency of action of brakes.

The brake liquid owes each 2 years, it is desirable in the spring, to be replaced with the new. At frequent movement in mountain district, it is necessary to replace a liquid more often.

On HUNDRED air from brake system, as a rule, leaves on the special device. However it is possible to do it and without application of the specified device. Thus the brake system is pumped over by a brake pedal. Participation of the assistant for this purpose is required.


ATTENTION

If in the course of removal of air from brake system liquid level sharply decreases, occurs подсос air getting to pump ABS. In this case air removal is necessary for making on HUNDRED with application of the special device. At replacement of any brake hose air also is necessary for removing from system on HUNDRED. While it is not made, to use the car it is impossible.


Sequence of removal of air:

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. A support the back right
2. Cуппорт the back left
3. A support the forward right
4. Cуппорт the forward left

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Mark a felt-tip pen level of a brake liquid on the tank. After liquid replacement restore former level. Thus, overflow of system by a liquid will be excluded at replacement brake колодок.
2. Turn away a stopper of the tank of a brake liquid.

ATTENTION

It is not obviously possible to suck away a brake liquid from the tank by means of one bottle as in a jellied branch pipe there is rigidly built in grid.


3. Cars with РКПП: As the coupling drive works on a brake liquid, remove air from a coupling drive, thus address to subsection Removal of air from hydrosystem of a drive of coupling.

ATTENTION

At removal of air from the working cylinder of a drive of coupling than 100 sm3 (0.1) brake liquids should be extorted not less to replace a liquid with the new.


4. Fill the tank with a new brake liquid to mark MAX.
5. Cautiously open unions for air removal, without turning on them. It is recommended unions 2 hours prior to air removal to spray means for rust removal. If unions do not turn away, it is recommended to execute this operation on HUNDRED.
6. Put on the union of the right back support a pure transparent hose and substitute the corresponding capacity. For access possibility to the union it is necessary either to remove a wheel or to lift the car or to establish it over a viewing hole.
7. Establish РКПП in neutral position, tighten a lay brake. Start the engine and allow to it to work on single turns.
8. Ask the assistant to press some times a brake pedal, having created pressure in system. Keep a pedal of the pressed. A nakidnym key 1 open the union for air removal on the right back support. Close the union when the pedal will rest against a floor. Remove a foot from a pedal.
9. Cars with РКПП: At the working engine a brake liquid extort until it in the tank will not reach level of a connecting branch pipe of a drive of coupling (arrow). Do not suppose the big decrease in level of a liquid, differently through the tank air can get to system. Necessarily add in system only a new liquid.
10. Close the union.
11. Cars with РКПП: As the coupling drive works on a brake liquid, remove from a drive air, thus address to subsection Removal of air from hydrosystem of a drive of coupling.

ATTENTION

For replacement of a brake liquid in a drive of coupling from the drive hydrocylinder it is necessary to pump out not less than 100 sm3 (0.1).


12. Fill the tank with a new brake liquid to mark MAX.
13. Pump out an old brake liquid from other supports in sequence – back right, back left, forward right, forward left.

ATTENTION

The flowing down brake liquid should be pure and not contain air vials. From each support should be pumped out about 250 sm3 of a liquid.


14. Press a brake pedal and check up a free wheeling. It should not exceed 1/3 courses of a pedal.
15. Fill in a brake liquid in the tank to earlier existing level.
16. Screw on the tank a stopper.
Attention, inspect reliability:

– Whether brake pipelines and hoses are fixed?
– Whether there are brake hoses in holders?
– Whether unions of removal of air are tightened?
– Whether liquid enough is filled in in system?
17. On the working engine check up tightness of system. For this purpose about 10 times press a pedal of a brake with effort 200 – 300 Н (corresponds 20 – 30 kg). The brake pedal should not leave back. Check up on tightness all connections.
18. In summary check up action of brakes on road with неинтенсивным transport. For this purpose it is necessary to make not less than one strong braking, having checked up action ABS (a sign of work ABS the pulsation of a pedal of a brake is at braking).

ATTENTION

Watch transport going following your car. Effect of action ABS is better it is shown on an unpaved road.

It is not necessary to pour out a brake liquid together with a household waste or somewhere in other place. Local authorities should inform on points of reception of a brake liquid.
