Replacement колодок disk brake mechanisms of forward wheels

Remember that brake Pads are subject to replacement only in the complete set and simultaneously on both wheels! Replacement колодок only conducts one of brake mechanisms to infringement of uniformity of seizing effort and loss of course stability of the car during braking. Do not forget that the dust developed in the course of deterioration of a frictional material колодок, can contain unhealthy asbestos! At all do not blow off a brake dust and do not inhale it. At service of brake mechanisms it is necessary to put on a protective mask or a respirator. Do not use for washing off of a brake dust solvents on an oil basis! Wipe components of brake mechanisms only methyl spirit or a special cleaner.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Prop up противооткатными boots back wheels, then поддомкратьте redock of the car and establish it on props. Remove forward wheels.

5. Liberate electroconducting of the gauge of deterioration колодок from a clamp on the bottom party of a support.

6. Lift a support upwards. Track, that the flexible brake hose has not appeared will pull.

8. Measure a residual thickness of both frictional overlays колодок. 9. If Pads are recognised by suitable for the further use, smooth out their wire brush, special attention giving to cleanliness of face walls and backs of metal substrates. Clean flutes in surfaces of frictional overlays, having removed from them a dirt and got stuck extraneous particles. Accurately clean pockets under installation колодок in анкерной скобе the brake mechanism.

10. Before installation new колодок check up freedom of moving of a directing finger, also estimate a condition of its protective cover. A brush remove from surfaces of the brake mechanism a brake dust (do not inhale it!). Check up a condition protective dusterа the piston. Level the piston so that one of its grooves has appeared opposite to a directing finger of a support. The label () over a groove (b) should settle down thus in parallel an axis of the gate of prorolling.

12. Establish brake Pads on the regular places (frictional overlays to a disk). Track, that the directing ledge internal Pads has entered into a reciprocal groove in a face surface of the piston.

13. Lower a support in regular position.
14. Fix electroconducting of the gauge of deterioration колодок in a clip from the bottom party of a support, then connect an electric socket to the gauge.
15. Fill in a support a fixing finger so that the aperture under installation of a spring clamp has appeared with turned towards internal Pads the mechanism parties. Establish a clamp.
16. Get on the regular place on a support приводной a cable of a lay brake, connect its tip to the executive lever. Check up correctness of adjustment of a drive (the Lay brake - the general data and adjustments see).
17. Repeat procedure for the brake mechanism of an opposite wheel.
18. Make sure of reliability of fixing of the car in the lifted position, then start the engine and leave its working on single turns. Make sure that the lever a lay brake is released, then some times squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake for the purpose of activation of the mechanism of automatic updating of deterioration колодок in supports. Release a pedal and make sure of reliability of fixing of wheels at raising of the lever of a lay brake on 6-12 ratchet clicks. Muffle the engine. 19. Once again make sure of serviceability of functioning of brake mechanisms and a drive of a lay brake, then establish to the place of a wheel, lower the car on the earth and tighten wheel bolts with demanded effort.
20. Check up level of a hydraulic liquid (address to the Head Routine maintenance).
21. Remember that full efficiency of braking is reached only after extra earnings new brake колодок. Try to avoid throughout the first 100—150 km of run of sharp braking.
