1. Tyre out the car on the lift.

4. Remove a steering wheel (see Has undressed Removal and steering wheel installation).
5. Lift the car over the earth and remove карданный the hinge of a steering shaft (see Has undressed Removal, check of a condition and installation карданного the hinge of a steering column).
6. Lower the car and remove section of the bottom furnish of the panel of devices from the driver's party of salon.

7. Turn out the screw of fastening of the bottom cover of a casing of a steering column.

8. Disunite contact sockets of all plaits of electroconducting brought to a steering column.

9. Turn out two devices of a bolt of fastening of a steering column located under the panel.

10. Liberate assemblage of a steering shaft from a foot emphasis of a floor.

Turn out two screws of fastening of the top cover of a casing of a steering column, and also two screws of fastening of assemblage combined подрулевых switches, and remove corresponding components.

1. Establish on the top shaft of a column assemblage of the combined switches.
2. Establish the top cover, then pass electroconducting plaits подрулевых switches and the ignition switch between basic to ledges of a cover and tighten fixing screws with demanded effort (1.2 Nanometers).

1. Carefully wipe external surfaces of components of assemblage of a steering column pure rags and study their condition. Defective details replace.

2. Measure full length of assemblage of a steering column. If the result of measurement falls outside the limits an admissible range (849.7 mm: for models Legacy and 817.8 mm: for models Outback), replace assemblage.

2. Pass the end of a steering shaft in the plug through passage.
3. Tighten with demanded effort (25 Nanometers) located under the panel of devices bolts of fastening of a steering column.
4. Restore initial connection of the devices of plaits of electroconducting laid under the panel.
5. Connect a socket of electroconducting of a pillow of safety on a cable drum, - track for защелкиванием the double lock.
6. Keeping the lever of adjustment of an inclination of a column in the lowered position, establish the bottom cover of a casing of a steering column.
7. Connect карданный the hinge (see Has undressed Removal, check of a condition and installation карданного the hinge of a steering column).
8. Centre position of a contact drum of a chain of electroconducting of a horn/pillow of safety (the Onboard electric equipment see the Head), - track, that forward wheels of the car were in rectilinear position.
9. Establish and adjust a steering wheel (see Has undressed Removal and steering wheel installation) and the module of a driver's pillow of safety (the Onboard electric equipment see the Head).
