4.2.8. Removal and camshaft installation
THE GENERAL DATA

The prevention

Removal of the case of a camshaft make on the cold engine. At installation of the case of a camshaft use new bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders and hermetic.


Without removing the camshaft case, the camshaft can be removed from the engine only in the presence of the special tool for pressing of pushers of valves at camshaft extraction. In the absence of the special tool it is necessary to remove the camshaft case.

Because at removal of the case of a camshaft it is necessary to unscrew bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders, it is recommended to prepare a new lining of a head of the block of cylinders.

Removal


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the camshaft case (removal and installation of the case of a camshaft are a part of operations on removal of a head of the block of cylinders). Fix a head of the block of cylinders four bolts, having enclosed under heads of bolts of a nut and a washer.
2. Unscrew a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a camshaft. Thus a wrench established on лыски of a camshaft, keep it from проворачивания. Remove a pulley from a camshaft.
3. From an underside of the case of a camshaft unscrew two bolts, fastening a persistent plate of a camshaft.
4. Move a camshaft from the case and remove a persistent plate.
5. Being careful, take a camshaft from the left end face of the case of a camshaft.
6. If necessary unscrew three bolts and remove a back casing of a gear belt.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Using a screw-driver edge as the lever, take a forward sealing ring of a camshaft from the camshaft case.
2. Using tubular оправку the corresponding diameter and a hammer, establish a new ring in the camshaft case.
3. Grease a camshaft, bearings of the case of a camshaft and working edges of a sealing ring with fresh engine oil. Being careful, establish a camshaft in the camshaft case.
4. Establish a persistent plate of a camshaft and fix its bolts. Check up axial люфт a camshaft. If axial люфт a camshaft exceeds admissible limits, replace a persistent plate.
5. If necessary establish a back casing of a gear belt.
6. Establish a camshaft pulley, thus a ledge on a shaft should enter into a pulley aperture (it is specified by an arrow).
7. At a bolt tightening keep a camshaft from проворачивания in the same way, as well as at bolt unscrewing.
8. Establish the camshaft case.
9. At installation of a new camshaft observe the following mode обкатки:
      – One minute at 2 000 rpm;
      – One minute at 1 500 rpm;
      – One minute at 3 000 rpm;
      – One minute at 2 000 rpm.
10. At installation of a new camshaft do not change engine oil during run of the first 1 000 km.
