Fixing cranked/distributive shaft for the purpose of prevention casual in the course of performance of procedures of service of the car

Do not undertake attempts проворачивания the engine at blocked cranked/distributive shaft. If the engine is left blocked on long time, it is necessary to establish warning tablets of the corresponding maintenance in salon and an impellent compartment of the car. Such safety measure will allow to avoid casual проворачивания the blocked engine a starter that is fraught with serious mechanical damages.

On all models in a cogwheel distributive and a pulley cranked shaft the special drillings are provided, allowing to make fixing of shaft in a correct phase timing, excluding probability of hit of valves in contact to the bottoms of pistons in an installation time of a head of cylinders/belts of drive ГРМ. Having achieved combination of apertures in a gear wheel/pulley with reciprocal nests in a head/block of cylinders, it is necessary to pass in them fingers of suitable diameter. The detailed description of procedure of blocking of shaft is more low resulted.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Поддомкратьте redock of the car also establish it on props. Remove the right forward wheel.
2. Under the car release bolts and clamps of fastening of a plastic cover in подзоре wheel arches. Uncover for the purpose of providing of access to a bolt of a pulley of a cranked shaft. Now the shaft can be turned for a bolt of its pulley by means of a face key with a suitable collar. Remember that the cranked shaft should be turned always only clockwise (looking from the right board of the car).
3. Remove the top cover of a belt of drive ГРМ (Removal and installation of covers газораспределительного a belt see).
4. Turn a cranked shaft so that drilling in a camshaft cogwheel was combined in a reciprocal nest in a body of a head of cylinders. Pay attention that combination of apertures occurs, when drilling in a cogwheel appears in position at 8 o'clock (looking from the right board of the car).

5. Having achieved correct position of a cogwheel of a camshaft, pass through an aperture in a pulley of a cranked shaft a bolt or a drill on 8 mm, having entered its end into a reciprocal nest in a wall of the block of cylinders.

For definitive combination of apertures, probably, insignificant updating of position of a pulley is required.

6. Having blocked a cranked shaft, pass a bolt or a drill on 9.5 mm through drilling in a camshaft cogwheel, having entered its end into a nest in a body of a head of cylinders.

7. Now both shaft will appear blocked in safe positions.
