4.1.6.4. Clearing of a head of the block of cylinders and pistons of a deposit
THE GENERAL DATA

Clearing can be made as on the engine established in the car, and on the engine which has been removed from the car.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a head of the block of cylinders and, using a wire brush or a plastic scraper, remove all traces of a deposit from chambers of combustion and cylinders. Cores of valves and directing plugs of valves also are necessary for clearing of a deposit. Wash out chambers of combustion and cylinders gasoline and clear a surface of a head of the block of cylinders.
2. If the engine is established in the car, clear the top parts of pistons and cylinders. At clearing be careful, that the deposit did not remain in cylinders as walls of cylinders in this case can be scratched and pistons and rings are damaged. For an exception of it turn a cranked shaft of the engine in such position that two pistons were established in ВМТ. Two others of the cylinder close pure rags. Channels of system of cooling stick with pieces of a sticky tape to exclude deposit hit in cooling system.
3. Fill with a thin layer of greasing an interval between walls of cylinders and two pistons. A plastic scraper clear the top parts of pistons, thus be careful not to scratch an aluminium alloy. Also clear a deposit from the top part of cylinders. After clearing remove greasing with deposit particles. For reduction of formation of a deposit polish the top part of the piston.
4. Remove rags from two other cylinders and turn a cranked shaft of the engine that two pistons which were below, were established in the top dead point. Close rags the cleared cylinders and a method described earlier, clear the remained two cylinders of a deposit.
