4.2.6.2. Installation of a gear belt
THE GENERAL DATA

ENGINES OF 1,4 L SINCE JUNE 1990 Г AND 1,6 L (16 SV AND С16 NZ)

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish a new gear belt, without moving pulleys of cranked and distributive shaft. Turning the water pump, preliminary pull a gear belt. Check up that adjusting labels on pulleys of cranked and distributive shaft are combined with indexes.
2. Establish a pulley of a cranked shaft auxiliary drive a belt and fix its bolts. Then take a core blocking the automatic mechanism of a tension of a gear belt.
3. Turning the water pump, establish a tension of a gear belt so that the lever of the automatic mechanism of a tension and an aperture in a basic plate has been combined. Thus the tension mechanism will move clockwise. In this position tighten bolts of fastening of the water pump the demanded moment.
4. Turn a cranked shaft of the engine on two complete revolutions clockwise and check up that adjusting labels on pulleys of cranked and distributive shaft were combined with indexes.
5. Loosen the bolts of fastening of the water pump also turn the pump counter-clockwise until the lever of the automatic mechanism of a tension will not be established in the centre of a label of a basic plate. In this position tighten bolts of fastening of the water pump the demanded moment (1 – the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt, 2 – a basic plate, 3 – an aperture for blocking).
6. Repeatedly turn a cranked shaft of the engine on two complete revolutions clockwise and check up that adjusting labels of pulleys of cranked and distributive shaft were combined with indexes, and also check up that the label of a basic plate is correctly combined with the lever of the mechanism of a tension. Otherwise repeat adjustment of a tension of a gear belt.
7. After adjustment of a tension of a gear belt unscrew a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft.
8. Establish on the engine all earlier removed elements in sequence, return to removal. Adjust a tension auxiliary drive a belt and fill in cooling liquid in cooling system.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish a new gear belt, without moving pulleys of cranked and distributive shaft. Turning the water pump, make a preliminary tension of a gear belt.
2. Establish a pulley of a cranked shaft and check up that labels on pulleys of cranked and distributive shaft are combined with indexes. Otherwise ослабьте a tension of a gear belt and correctly establish pulleys. Put on a carving of a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft the means interfering unscrewing of a bolt, and tighten a bolt the demanded moment.
3. For adjustment of a tension of a gear belt it is necessary to use special device KM510-A.
4. Turn a cranked shaft of the engine at least on half of turn clockwise. Establish the device on a sagging branch of a gear belt over the generator and release it. Read instrument readings and compare them to the data in technical characteristics.
5. If necessary, moving the water pump, adjust a tension of a gear belt. Turn a cranked shaft of the engine on one complete revolution and repeatedly measure a tension of a gear belt.
6. In the absence of the device for measurement of a tension of a gear belt it is roughly possible to define a belt tension, turning a belt in the middle of a branch between the water pump and a camshaft pulley. The belt should turn only on 90 at the appendix of moderate effort.
7. After adjustment of a tension of a gear belt tighten bolts of fastening of the water pump the demanded moment. Establish and fix a casing of a gear belt.
8. Establish and adjust a tension auxiliary drive a belt of the generator and fill in cooling liquid in cooling system. If acted in film, establish a protective cover in the flywheel basis.
