Removal/installation, check and service of the storage battery

At battery switching-off always disconnect from it first of all a negative wire, - to connect it follows the last! If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped by a security code before to disconnect the battery make sure that have a correct combination for audiosystem input in action!

Removal and installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The storage battery is located in the left forward corner of an impellent compartment and fixed on the pallet by means of a special clamping lath.

2. Remove from a hairpin the holder of a wire of the battery.

3. Disconnect from the battery both wires (at first negative).

4. Release fixing nuts and remove a clamping lath of the storage battery.

5. Remove the battery from the pallet and take it from an impellent compartment of the car.
6. At replacement track, that the replaceable battery completely corresponded removed from the car on the типоразмерным and to performance data.
7. Installation is made upside-down. Tighten fixing nuts with demanded effort (3.4 Nanometers).

 Before installation clear plugs of wires and grease them in order to avoid corrosion formation. Connect at first positive, but only after - a negative wire.

Check and gymnastics

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

 Performance of checks of a condition and service of the battery demands observance of some special safety measures. Remember that hydrogen allocated with electrolit is explosive gas in the higher measure. Do not smoke, and do not come nearer to a place of work with open fire or the lighted cigarette! Do not forget that actually the electrolit represents the diluted sulfuric acid which at hit in eyes or on open sites of a body is capable to cause strong chemical burns. The electrolit also can easily damage a fabric of clothes and a paint and varnish covering кузовных panels!


 At gymnastics of the storage battery follow instructions зарядного devices. At battery gymnastics on the car disconnect from it wires, out of action diodes of the generator and other electric modules differently can be put.

1. Attentively check up the adjusting pallet of the battery on presence of signs of development of corrosion. Carefully wipe a surface of the battery and make sure of absence of mechanical damages of the case, ventilating stoppers and polar plugs.
2. Check up electrolit level in everyone bank, in case of need make corresponding updating by a way доливания the distilled water (electrolit level should reach mark MAX in the case, - do not exceed an electrolit maximum level).
3. By means of the thermometer and ареометра measure relative density of electrolit. Remember that the electrolit density depends on its temperature and can be led to effective value (S20) as follows: S20 = St + 0.0007х (t - 20), where: S20 - relative density of electrolit at temperature 20С, St - the measured relative density; t - temperature of electrolit at the moment of measurement (С). Thus effective value of density S20 on should fall outside the limits a working range 1.220 1.290.

4. By results of the made measurements, using resulted on сопр. Illustrations the schedule, define level of a charge of the battery.

5. In the charged condition relative density of electrolit should be kept in limits of a range 1.250 1.290 within not less than one hour, thus pressure of everyone banks should remain within 2.5 2.8 Century
6. To estimate a condition of a charge of the battery it is possible and on indicators ареометра:

Green окрас a display stain corresponds to 65 percent level of a charge and to check up only serviceability of functioning of the battery under loading enough;
Grey окрас stains testifies to lowering of level of a charge below a 65 percent barrier and it is necessary to make battery gymnastics;
If the display stain remains transparent, the battery requires replacement (preliminary check up a condition of electric systems of the car).
7. The normal gymnastics of the battery should be made according to instructions of manufacturers, or a current approximately 1/10 from rating value of the capacitor characteristic (Ач) batteries.
8. Using a method of fast gymnastics the battery it is possible to charge for shorter period of time rather high current. Remember that at a high current of gymnastics of electrolits strongly heats up that can lead to a battery exit out of operation, - use the currents which are not leading to heating of electrolit more 40С.
