Check of a condition and replacement of wires of the battery

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

 At battery switching-off always disconnect from it first of all a negative wire, - to connect it follows the last! If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped by a security code before to disconnect the battery make sure that have a correct combination for audiosystem input in action! Attention: All models considered in the present Management are equipped by system of additional safety (SRS), disconnected after short enough time after a detachment of wires from the battery. If control lamp SRS after battery connection lights up and remains included, the car should be driven away on a car repair shop for the purpose of activation SRS.

1. Regularly examine battery wires on all their length on presence of signs of mechanical damages, cracks and прогаров isolation, and also corrosion traces. Do not forget that infringement of quality of electric connection of contact plugs is capable to lead to difficulties at engine start, and also to decrease in efficiency of its return.
2. Check up клеммные clips of wires on presence of cracks, signs of loss of copper veins and corrosion traces. Presence accumulated under the insulation layer close клеммных tips white порошкообразных adjournment speaks about development of corrosion and necessity of replacement of a wire. Check up plugs of the battery and fastening clips on them of tips of wires on presence of signs of deformation, easing of bolts and corrosion traces.
3. The negative wire is always disconnected from the battery first of all and connected in last. Do not forget to disconnect a negative wire even in the event that to replacement is subject only one positive (the prevention in the Section beginning see also).
4. Disconnect from the battery old wires (at first negative), liberate them from the holder, then "walk" on everyone to the opposite end disconnect from the traction relay of a starter (positive) and plugs grounding (negative). Try to remember routes of a lining of both wires for the purpose of their observance at replacement.
5. Make sure that replaceable wires correspond on a standard size removed from the car, - for a guarantee grasp a wire subject to replacement in shop as the sample.

 Wires are easy for distinguishing from each other on colour of isolation, always black at negative, and red at the positive. Besides, the positive wire usually has большее section. Extremely important factor is conformity of a design of contact clips of a wire to the form of corresponding polar plugs of the battery.

6. A wire brush smooth out a carving on connecting plugs of the traction relay/weight. After removal of all traces of corrosion slightly grease carving coils бескислотным with vaseline for the purpose of prevention of development of corrosion further.
7. Connect a wire to the plug of the traction relay/weight, strongly tighten a fixing nut/bolt.
8. Before to connect a new wire to the polar plug of the battery make sure that it it is free, without an excessive tension, reaches it. Carefully smooth out polar plugs of the battery, then slightly grease them бескислотным with vaseline.
9. First of all always connect to the battery a positive wire, then negative.
