11.7. Check, removal and installation of a forward brake disk

The prevention In need of replacement of a brake disk also it is necessary to replace and the second brake disk for maintenance of uniformity of braking. At replacement of brake disks also it is necessary to replace brake Pads. 1. Tighten a manual brake, then lift a forward part of the car and fix on supports. 2. Remove a corresponding forward wheel. 3. Establish on two bolts of fastening of a wheel two washers in the thickness of 10 mm and screw in fastening bolts in opposite apertures. 4. Slowly turn a brake disk so that it could be considered from two parties. Deterioration of a brake disk from колодок should be in admissible limits. If there are cracks on a disk, the disk is subject to replacement. 5. Using a micrometer, measure a thickness of a brake disk. 6. The indicator of hour type check up palpation of a brake disk. The indicator of hour type fix in any convenient place and, turning a brake disk, define its palpation on distance of 10 mm from external edge. 7. Before check of palpation of a brake disk be convinced that the nave bearing is in a good condition. 8. Check up a brake disk on presence of cracks, especially round apertures under bolts of fastening of a wheel, and also on presence of deterioration or mechanical damages and, if necessary, replace it.

Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove brake Pads. 2. Unscrew the screw, крепящий a brake disk to a nave and remove a brake disk. 3. If the brake disk sits densely on a nave, from a disk underside knock on it киянкой. 4. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal taking into account following moments. 5. Check up and, if necessary, clear interfaced surfaces of a brake disk and a nave. 6. At installation of a new brake disk remove from its surface a sheeting layer.
