The problem diagnostics always should begin with the most simple checks: estimate level and condition ATF (Routine maintenance see the Head), check up adjustment of drives of a gear change and throttle заслонки. Further, spend trial runs of the car for the purpose of definition of efficiency of the brought corrections. If to eliminate a problem it was not possible, it is necessary to drive away the car on a car repair shop for more detailed diagnostics with application of the special equipment. Diagnostics of leaks ATF
The general information
The majority of leaks easily come to light at visual check. Repair usually consists in replacement of a corresponding defective epiploon or a lining. If to reveal a source of leak during external survey it is not possible, operate, as it is described more low.
First of all it is necessary to exclude probability of an error in definition of the nature of leak. It is not necessary to confuse ATF to impellent oil or a brake liquid (трансмиссионная the liquid usually has dark red colour).

Stationary check («Stall-Test»)
One more simple method of check of condition АТ is Stall-Test. The test essence consists in definition of turns of the engine in positions «R» and «2» levers of the selector and at completely braked target shaft АТ (car wheels are blocked) and the pedal of gas squeezed out against the stop (throttle заслонка it is completely open). On size of these turns it is possible to judge serviceability of some elements of transmission.
Naturally, the data removed during stationary check, cannot be compared on completeness to the information received during test arrival. Nevertheless, it is necessary to remember that carrying out of trial runs far not in all cases is obviously possible, besides, in the competent image spent Stall-Test allows to estimate working capacity of transmission with the minimum risk of failure of its internal components.
The main risk interfaced to performance of stationary check, potential possibility of an overheat of transmission with what refusal of many manufacturers of the publication of standard cards of turns Stall-Test is connected is. Nevertheless, Stall-Test uses wide popularity among the experts who are engaged in regenerative repair of automatic transmissions for whom manufacturers АТ can let out the special bulletins made on the basis of carrying out of intrabranch research works. At once we will make a reservation that in order to avoid failure of internal components of transmission Stall-Test it should be carried out by the skilled mechanic.
The primary goals of check «Stall-Test» are check of serviceability of functioning of the converter of rotation (hydrotransformer) and an estimation of keeping ability муфт couplings / of braking АТ. Thus one of basic conditions of carrying out of check is serviceability of a condition and adequacy of adjustment of the engine. Check is made at the working engine and the transmission put on transfer, - do not forget to cock a lay brake and to prop up wheels противооткатными boots.
Before the check beginning estimate completeness of opening throttle заслонки and check up levels of impellent oil, ATF, a cooling liquid and differential oil, - in case of need make corresponding updatings.
Make sure. That the selector lever is in position «Р» or «N» and, having started the engine on single turns, in a current approximately a half an hour warm up transmission, having finished temperature ATF approximately to 50 ÷ 80 °С.
Having connected a tachometre, establish it so that indications highlighted on a board were easily read from a driver's place.

e) Turns Stall-Test correspond to standard requirements (Specifications see), - the given result confirms serviceability of a condition and correctness of options of the engine, and also normal functioning of internal components of transmission (including the hydrotransformer). Nevertheless, it is impossible to miss blocking possibility отпускания the reactor with refusal of transition of the hydrotransformer in a mode вязкостной муфты. If at full opening throttle заслонки speed of movement of the car considerably (approximately on 1/3) decreases, it can be considered as a sign of "freezing" of the reactor. Thus the acceleration on small speed will occur normally, movement in a cruiser mode becomes astable at the expense of refusal отпускания the reactor. Translate the selector lever in position «R» and repeat check for the purpose of an estimation of serviceability of functioning of corresponding components of inclusion of transfer of a backing.
Check of time delays
On time of a delay of the push arising at switchings of the lever of the selector on single turns of the engine it is possible to estimate a condition муфты couplings of lowering transfers and backing transfer, обгонной муфты, and also brake assemblage lowering and back transfers.
Check should be made at heated-up to normal working temperature (60 ÷ 80 °С) трансмиссионной liquids. The pause between checks should make not less than one minute. For a guarantee of accuracy of results make three measurements and calculate average value.
Completely cock a lay brake and start the engine.
Make sure that air conditioner is switched off and check up idling turns.
Translate the lever of the selector from position «N» in position «D» and by means of a stop watch measure time of a delay of the moment of occurrence of a push. Infringement of absence of stress of raising switchings, and also overestimate of points of a gear change can result from excessive increase of pressure in an operating path of transmission. Excessive lowering of pressure can cause proslipping of brake assemblages and муфт couplings.
Check of pressure without loading
