The general information

For a drive of camshafts on engines of 3.0 l are used two chains, everyone them which results both camshafts of a corresponding head of cylinders. The left chain transfers a twisting moment to camshafts of the left head of cylinders directly from an asterisk of a cranked shaft, right – to camshafts of the right head through the bottom intermediate asterisk resulted in rotation by the left chain. The bottom intermediate asterisk is equipped by two numbers of a teeth, on external from which the left chain, and on internal – right attacks. By realisation of the similar scheme necessary synchronisation of rotation of camshafts of both heads is reached.

Left газораспределительная the chain is used also for a drive of the water pump.

Hydraulic automatic натяжитель chains are provided with constant effort of a tension of last that in turn guarantees both correctness of a drive of camshafts, and absence of necessity for regular service of a chain drive.

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Details of installation of components of drive ГРМ are shown on an illustration.
2. Remove a pulley of a cranked shaft (see Has undressed Removal and installation of a pulley of a cranked shaft).
3. Remove a forward cover of drive ГРМ (see Has undressed Removal and installation of covers of drive ГРМ).

4. Remove натяжитель right газораспределительной chains, make sure that плунжер (A) does not act from the assemblage case.

5. Remove established between asterisks of camshafts directing №1 right chains.

6. Remove directing №2 and the lever натяжителя the right chain.

7. Remove the right chain.

8. Remove натяжитель the left chain, make sure that плунжер (A) does not act from the assemblage case.

9. Remove the lever натяжителя the left chain.

10. Remove directing №1 left chains.

11. Remove directing №2 left chains.

12. Remove central directing to a chain.

13. Remove the top intermediate asterisk.
14. Remove the left chain.
15. Remove the bottom intermediate asterisk.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

 Try to exclude completely probability of mess at installation of components. On an installation course grease directing, levers натяжителей and intermediate asterisks of chains with impellent oil.

1. If assorted натяжитель, establish in its case the screw, a spring, a pin, and an adjusting rod. Densely pressing натяжитель to a rubber floor-mat and turning it to the right-to the left, drown against the stop a rod and fix it in this position by means of a lock core of a suitable thickness.

2. By means of a special nozzle (ST 18252АА000) develop an asterisk of a cranked shaft an adjusting label at 9 o'clock.

3. By means of key ST 18231АА000 develop asterisks of camshafts шпоночными grooves upwards (at 12 o'clock).


4. Rotating a cranked shaft in a direction clockwise, develop its adjusting label on an asterisk on its asterisk in the position of 12 hours corresponding ВМТ of the piston of the first cylinder.

 Attention: Try not to suppose change of positions of asterisks cranked and camshafts till the moment of end of installation of chains!

5. Establish the bottom intermediate asterisk and tighten a bolt of its fastening with demanded effort (69 Nanometers).

6. Having achieved combination adjusting the gilt link of the left chain () with an adjusting label () on an asterisk of a cranked shaft, plant a chain on an asterisk.

7. Pass left приводную a chain under the bottom intermediate asterisk and an asterisk of a drive of the water pump, then serially throw with it asterisks of final and inlet camshafts (operate as transfer of components).

 Attention: Track correctness of combination of the links of a chain allocated with colour with adjusting labels on asterisks cranked and camshafts.

8. Establish the top intermediate asterisk and tighten a bolt of its fastening with demanded effort (69 Nanometers).
9. Establish directing №1 left chains and tighten bolts of its fastening with demanded effort (6.4 Nanometers).

 At installation use a new bolt.

10. Establish directing №2 left chains and tighten bolts of its fastening with demanded effort (16 Nanometers).
11. Establish the lever натяжителя the left chain and tighten a bolt of its fastening with demanded effort (16 Nanometers).
12. Establish натяжитель left приводной chains and tighten bolts of its fastening with demanded effort (16 Nanometers).

13. Having achieved combination of the links of both chains allocated with colour (D) around the bottom intermediate asterisk, plant on last right chain, then throw with it asterisks inlet and final (as transfer) camshafts of the right head of cylinders.

14. Make sure of correctness of placing of the gilt links of a chain on asterisks of camshafts.

15. Establish directing №2 and the lever натяжителя the right chain and tighten fixing bolts with demanded effort (16 Nanometers).
16. Establish directing №1 right chains and tighten NEW bolts of its fastening with demanded effort (16 Nanometers).
17. Establish натяжитель the right chain and bolts of its fastening tighten with demanded effort (6.4 Nanometers).
18. Establish central directing, having adjusted a backlash between it and directing №2 right chains in a range 8.4 ÷ 8.6 mm. Tighten NEW bolts of fastening central directing with demanded effort (7.8 Nanometers).
19. Having made sure of correctness of combination of all adjusting labels (see above), take from натяжителя chains a lock core.
