THE GENERAL DATA

Check and adjustment timing in described models is much more difficult, than in petrol engines, for the reason, that on distributive the shaft or a camshaft pulley does not have adjusting labels. In this case it is necessary to use special tools.

Check and adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish the piston №1 in ВМТ. The adjusting label of a pulley of the fuel pump is combined with the index on a pump arm (the adjusting label and the index are shown by arrows).
2. Remove the air filter. Disconnect a ventilating hose and uncover heads of the block of cylinders. If necessary remove the vacuum pump.

3. The tool can be made independently.
4. Having combined adjusting labels of a cranked shaft and the fuel pump with indexes corresponding to them, establish the tool to the place of the vacuum pump and turn a camshaft so that the tool pin has entered into an aperture in a back part of a shaft. If the pin enters into an aperture, means, газораспределение is adjusted correctly.
5. If the pin does not enter into a camshaft aperture, stop a shaft a wrench and ослабьте a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a shaft. Slightly shift a pulley, having knocked on it with a wooden hammer. Turn a camshaft until the tool pin will not enter into a shaft aperture. Insert a new bolt of fastening of a pulley. Remove the tool and tighten a bolt of fastening of a pulley the demanded moment.

6. Tool KM-537 cannot be used in models of late release as in these models there are no apertures in which the tool is screwed in. Instead of КМ-537 it is necessary to use циферблатный a measuring instrument and a suitable emphasis.
7. To check up, how it is adjusted газораспределение, combine adjusting labels of a flywheel and a pulley of the fuel pump with corresponding indexes and establish a measuring instrument on an emphasis over the second, from outside a pulley, a camshaft cam (a cam of the inlet valve of the first cylinder).
8. Establish an arrow of a measuring instrument on zero.
9. Accurately shift a measuring instrument together with an emphasis on 10 mm towards the top part of a cam. Measuring instrument indications should make 0,55±0,05 mm. If it so, газораспределение is adjusted correctly. If necessary make adjustment.
