Removal and installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

2. Uncover panels of devices and disunite contact demountable electroconductings from its return party.

3. Turn out three fixing bolts and shift aside the assembly block of safety locks.

4. Turn out two bolts of fastening of the module of management VDC on a basic arm.

5. Disconnect electroconducting and remove the management module, having pulled upwards a lateral clamp.

6. Installation is made upside-down. At replacement of the module of management it is necessary to track conformity of its marks of model of the car (Specifications see).

7. On termination of installation follows make necessary adjustments (see more low).

ADJUSTMENT

 Installation of the central position of the gauge of an angle of rotation of a steering wheel and zeroing of the gauge of withdrawal / cross-section overloads should be made each time after removal/replacement of such components, as the module of management VDC, the withdrawal gauge / cross-section overloads, details of a steering column (including the module of a pillow of safety), suspension bracket details, and also after performance of adjustment of position of a steering wheel.


Without application SSM

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

 Whenever possible adjustment should be made with application of firm input reader Subaru (SSM).

1. Park the car on an equal horizontal platform, whenever possible with a firm covering.
2. Result forward wheels of the car in rectilinear position and check up steering wheel centering, in case of need make corresponding updating.
3. Make on the car short (an order of 10 km) a trip on direct roads with a good covering, switch off ignition, then again start the engine and during the following trip make sure that control lamp VDC is not activated during movement. Also try to make sure of serviceability of functioning VDC and a steering drive.


From application SSM

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Park the car on an equal horizontal platform, whenever possible with a firm covering. Start the engine and leave its working on neutral transfer (АТ in position «N» or «Р»).
2. Result forward wheels of the car in rectilinear position and check up steering wheel centering, in case of need make corresponding updating.
3. Connect SSM to the car and choose in section of the menu of the display «Function Check Sequence» point «Set Mode Str. A.Sen. N and Lat. Gsen.0p» (follow displayed instructions).
4. In section {Brake Control System} the menu choose point «Current Data Display and Save» and make sure that the gauge of an angle of rotation of a steering wheel is nulled («0 deg»).
5. If the information on the gauge differs from stipulated above {0 deg}, adjust steering wheel position, then repeat check.
6. Make on the car short (an order of 10 km) a trip on direct roads with a good covering, switch off ignition, then again start the engine and during the following trip make sure that control lamp VDC is not activated during movement. Also try to make sure of serviceability of functioning VDC and a steering drive.
